Weddings at the Haven

We still relive our dream wedding at the “Inn” after 6 years. It was the perfect venue for our second time around wedding. Every August we look forward to spending our anniversary in “our” room. We are never disappointed with the warm welcome, delicious breakfast and quiet time on the river and beautiful grounds. We look forward to many more years of pampering from you at the Haven River Inn.

After searching for an unusual setting to host my wedding, I was in luck when I arrived at The Haven River Inn to find a very pretty, roomy and comfortable atmosphere that I knew would be the backdrop to my dream wedding. We occupied the grounds of The Haven for a full weekend. The innkeepers and house-staff were very helpful with our entire stay making sure that my family and friends were taken care of and most of all that I had my dream wedding!

Five months later at my family reunion I suggested relocating to The Haven River Inn from Garner State Park. Other than the most pleasant experience I had at my wedding, The Haven is centrally located just off of the interstate so my family could easily arrive from all directions. The next year, our family reunion was held at The Haven and everyone absolutely loved it! My family could not express enough how impressed they were with your facility. We had the best family gathering ever. Everyone loved The Haven River Inn so much that it was immediately reserved again for next year!

Family Reunions

The thing that comes to mind when I think of the Haven is peace. Then I think of all the wonderful memories of our daughter’s wedding. Next, I remember Christmas with all our children and grandchildren feeling like they were home at a family reunion with kin from all over happy and rocking on the porch.

Haven innkeepers make everyone feel like they are the only guest and when they say, “make yourself at home” you know that they mean it. The Raven owners and staff give you a memory that you will long remember with appreciation and pleasure.

Scrapbooking

We have had the opportunity to host our Scrapbook Escapes weekend retreats at the Haven River Inn on several occasions. On every occasion we have found the Innkeeper and staff always prepared for our visit with charming room accommodations, GREAT food, and warm hospitality. We are treated like family but always with the professionalism of a well run business. Our scrappers love the view of the beautiful grounds that can be enjoyed while scrapbooking on the enclosed wrap-around dining porch.

The guest rooms are just a few steps away which allows our scrappers to relax and to enjoy having the flexibility of scrapping any hour day or night without leaving the inn. We have hosted more than twenty five weekend retreats, and this is one of our favorite places.

Respite Care

We had a wonderful time, and have come back ready to put our all into the ministry. We appreciate so much the beautiful place, and the opportunity to just stop, and rest.

One day, we went down to the river, and I laid on my back right next to the water, and watched afternoon turn into evening, feasting my eyes on the green of the treetops against the blue Texas sky.

I told the innkeeper that I left a big chunk of stress on the low water bridge, right beside the water. If you go down there, watch your step!
